Tang were an integral part of the indie rock scene in Rochester. Their loud yet melodic sound incorporated elements of punk, emo, and alt rock that you could both sing and scream along to. Former members of Tang went on to form Bacchus, onenumberprinciple, and Spindrift, among others.
